Obviously those weren't the only pictures. This is part one as there are too many of them to post all together..
Lecce.
After Lecce we went to cool ourselves at the Lido degli Angeli.
The most beautiful sandy beach in Salento, in my opinion.
The most beautiful sandy beach in Salento, in my opinion.
Probably the next day we stayed at our own beach in Pescoluse, which was really crowded, in the evening we went to visit a small town called Scorrano. The town itself was very poor-looking and we joked about how we had ended up in some kind of a third-world village.. But the reason we went there was because of the light-show there was about to be in the evening. It has been a tradition for centuries and it was... something undescrivable! The main piazza with its main linking streets were transformed into light galleries!!! While they lit the galleries they made some fireworks too and let me tell you, I think all the fireworks I've seen put together wouldn't be as great as the one we saw in Scorrano. Amazing. I have many pictures of it too, too many, so I'll probably dedicate a whole post to it.
At our home beach during the hours 9-13 and 16-19, I got suddenly feeling as if I was at the metro. You couldn't move without saying, "scusa, permesso!".. So what did I do ofcourse? I went on the beach from 13-16 (everybody was having pranzo and I skipped it), the worst hours ever but I didn't care as I wanted to get as tanned as possible.
On the road in the car, coastal area, towards Santa Maria di Leuca.
I loved the landscape there.. and also the villas, they were so romantic!
This is the Adriatic riviera. This coast is full of caves and natural thermal pools, as you can see from the pictures below. I liked it a lot there..
This is Porto Miggiano, seen from the road (in the car). One of the ten most beautiful FREE "beaches" in Salento. It was breath-takingly beautiful!!!
Like a paradise.. until.. this:
We went just for a swim but there were people who stayed there for a whole day!!! It was so uncomfortable.. poor them.
My little sister!!
She managed to swim greatly in the water with her "equipment". She just turned three while we were in Salento, a Cancer she is!
Okay, this is the end of part one. As total we made 2500 pictures and yesterday I spent the whole day on deleting many of them, I chose circa 400 as the best. Do you usually take also so many pictures or me and my mother are just some kind of freaks? Actually after this we decided with her to change style, we are gonna try to shoot much less now.. I get nausea as soon as I see my camera:)

I LOVE the beach photos and the lightshow photos!
I love the beaches photos and the beaches themselves...
The Photodiarist was in Italy a few days ago : you 2 could have met there !
And yes I take a lot of photos and spend nights to select the good ones.
Well it would be REALLY HARD to make bad pictures of THOSE beaches... :D lol. anyhow yes, I know too bad we didn't meet up with The Photodiarist when she was in Italy... The next time though!
;) and you la flore et la faune, when will you arrive?!
-> la flore et la faune, thank god I'm not the only sleepless one here:D
These shots are amazing! Gorgeous post...
Wow that is a lot of pictures...looks heavenly! Incredible colour of the water and I like that padlock photo. What's the story behind that?
Dreaming of summer now!
Wild Flower -> You are right, I didn't explain the padlock photo! basically all the lovers here in Italy go and put some padlocks around their city to manifest their love. This boom started after a book "Tre metri sopra il cielo" - Three meters above heaven.
"Obama Take Away" è fantastico! ;D
this looks like an amazing place
Oh I love each and every one of your pictures! Instantly forwarded it to my sister, who is a great lover of Italy (perhaps you like her blog too: http://www.toni-in-viaggio.blogspot.com). Thank you for these wonderful views!
STUNNING PICTURES OVERLOAD, OMG!! :))) I was going to choose a few favorites but I can't omg :))
Wonderful pictures!! It's great that you shoot so many photos. I always have to force myself and afterwards I'm sad that I haven't captured all the special moments and experiences.
After your post I'm even more excited about going to Puglia in 2 weeks time. Have you also been to Bari and Brindisi?
Beautiful beautiful pictures! I'm stunned and impressed. You put a lot of work into this post!
Best wishes from one blogger to another,
~Zabrinah
P.S. You are so right with what you said about feeling hate! You got my point exactly and I'm happy to know we share the same sentiments on teh subject :) Also, on the Red Square thing, isn't it just so gorgeous? :) I like your idea of having a cup pf smething hot inside and watching teh snow fall outside too - I did it last winter :) But generally, I'm a heat person, so winter is only good for me for a few weeks at the max lol You should visit back again!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL photos, beaches & architectural shots!
YES...I too take hundreds of pictures & then stress about uploading them, cropping, editing etc. I've learned to slow down on my shots & be more selective.
I still tend to get out of control though!LOL!
Still haven't posted my Jalama Beach vacation shots...but I will soon. That place was so incredibly beautiful. I even caught a shot of a dolphin jumping in mid air!
