Rome's fashion week: FASHION ON PAPER

Photobucket

Yesterday I finally met my friend Concetta (the last time I saw her was in October). As she is currently fashion assistant at the GREY Magazine (a biannual hardback publication), she came to Rome for work at the event FASHION ON PAPER. FOP is an integral part of the event AltaRoma (Rome's Fashion Week), where you can discover some of the most interesting indipendent magazines (mostly touching topics related to fashion, art and design). It started yesterday with the conference "Minimum: Magazine that says more, with less" by the independent journalist Angel Flaccavento. Today at 17.30 Maria Luisa Frisa, the organizer, will talk with fashion designers, talent scouts, stylists and journalists. At 18.30 Fabio Quaranta, the winner of the fashion contest "Who's on next?", will held a speech. The event will close the DJ set by Anarchy in the Club. For the third consecutive year the Temple of Hadrian (it's just near the Via del Corso) was chosen as the location.

The Italian Girl

Photobucket

When it comes to fashion italians don't have any problems, we all know that. Old or young, women or men, while keeping it trendy, they never forget the touch of elegance, that's their secret. But rather than seeing some fashion victims on the street, you see people who are dressed well and never out of the context. Appropriateness and easyness, that's what makes them truly chic (inside).. As I've written before about Italian men way of dressing and seeing fashion (check it out here!), it's time to give some spaces to the women!

Deliciously feminine

Photobucket

Girls! Here's something for us! Take a look at these delightful shoots from Valentino book (who's film, by the way, was nominated on the Academy Award (check!) ).
I think Valentino is simply a genius.

His elegance is impeccable, his talent unique. A true master.. oh I get lost while describing him, I ain't got enough words.. I mean, you get what I mean, don't you? I think there is no woman who wouldn't like to wear his gowns...

I also wanted to thank all my dear readers who keep coming back and my followers- although you are few, you are true! And a special thanks goes to my dearest friend Kadri-Ann back in Estonia who may not be near me now but gives me all the support I need and can get (becuase of the distance).
