Party on the roof with the best view ever! ..and about roman humour

Photobucket

I know I was supposed to post pictures of my trip but I remembered I didn't publish these pictures of a cozy and intimate roof party I was at just before leaving. We celebrated Elisa's 26th birthday. That was one memorable evening. Funny how places you are condition the subjects and topics you discuss: in a location like that we couldn't not end up talking about UFOs. Not in a traditional way, at some point we reached the probability theory and there all things got fuzzy for me..

Here we are.. still normal.

The scientists.

And here we are.. trying to demonstrate the probability theory by using lemon slices (note the yellow spots on the floor)... clever.

Continueing.. my boyfriend, as usual, managed to distract us from the discussion by making his usual jokes.. One day I should write you more about roman humour.. now that is phenomenal. I still don't get the jokes sometimes.. after five years, think! And I do not believe it's because of my dumbness :D Romans just got that special irony which you can understand only if you know well the circumstances that inspire them. And that is the chaotic life in Rome with romans.

So.. this is it. I guess this is a good night then!

Ever considered that you may not get the jokes coz they are simply not (that) funny??

Personally I prefer British humour - extremely ironic and sarcastic but at the same so inncredibly witty and since it's good, you get it, whether you've lived here for 5 months or 5 years...

What a party! Why did you choose to celebrate on the roof? Aren't you afraid of heights? Hehe.. Well, the ambiance up there probably made you decide. Good thing you enjoyed the rest of the night! Next time, make sure that the rooftop has safety bars for a safe, fun party. ;)

What a romantic and perfect spot for partying! I’m pretty sure that Elisa had a memorable birthday celebration on this roof. The place is so romantic; it can also be a good place for a marriage proposal. This is proof that partying need not be expensive. A simple party like this is perfect in itself.
