I am sooo with you on all you had to say in your comments on my Food Appreciation week post! Your words about "the singular taste of each ingredient comes out in the right way" sound delicious already! :)

And an essay about your eating habits would be my dream essay! Too bad no one ever asked me to write one on the subject lol To me, food definitely IS a very special ritual. Especially my morning meal and my morning eating routine... I really dislike it when people disturb it, in a way I can say that I even expect people I live with to respect my breakfast philosophy lol. As you can see, I'm serious about that! haha What do you usually eat for breakfast? :) (I believe you can find out some valuable info about a person by asking this simple question lol)

I'm glad you asked!! (I LOVE talking about food, haha)

I totally know what you mean about kasha and different breakfasts in different countries... I find it interesting that you tend to alternate so much, because both options are like the opposites of each other! Interesting :)

As for me, I have seasonal preferences when it comes to my breakfasts and tend to eat almost the same stuff daily, no matter where in the world I am. During the colder time of the year I like to get up earlier and make scrambled eggs from scratch - I can eat them plain but my favorite thing is to add mushrooms and/or spinach! That's main breakfast course option number 1.

During the warmer time of the year I love adding chopped melon to a bowl of plain Greek style yogurt (I add mango when it's closer to winter or when it's early spring time and melon is not as widely available) or I make my summer soup, which is essentially a bowl of milk with berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries - whatever I can get but best when altogether!). These are main breakfast course options number 2 and 3.

And I always have two slices of whole wheat bread with either peanut butter, mascarpone or olive oil on top, and some fruit, usually half a banana! Plus I always drink strong black tea for breakfast :) Funnily enough, the origin of this habit was one of my very first thankful posts on the blog!!
