Rome's fashion week: FASHION ON PAPER

Photobucket

Yesterday I finally met my friend Concetta (the last time I saw her was in October). As she is currently fashion assistant at the GREY Magazine (a biannual hardback publication), she came to Rome for work at the event FASHION ON PAPER. FOP is an integral part of the event AltaRoma (Rome's Fashion Week), where you can discover some of the most interesting indipendent magazines (mostly touching topics related to fashion, art and design). It started yesterday with the conference "Minimum: Magazine that says more, with less" by the independent journalist Angel Flaccavento. Today at 17.30 Maria Luisa Frisa, the organizer, will talk with fashion designers, talent scouts, stylists and journalists. At 18.30 Fabio Quaranta, the winner of the fashion contest "Who's on next?", will held a speech. The event will close the DJ set by Anarchy in the Club. For the third consecutive year the Temple of Hadrian (it's just near the Via del Corso) was chosen as the location.

The event sounds really ineterestign so I'm glad you had an opportunity to attend! And these red cocktails look AMAZING! And I don't say it about cocktails often

The event sounds absolutely great. Milan has become such an important fashion capital that it is easy to forget Rome is the original Italian fashion city (think Fendi, among others), with a tradition of Haute Couture too. For years, I have thought that Rome fashion week is usually more interesting than London's!
