The last day of the summer at the Lido...
You remember my friend Lina from Cairo who I wrote you about (in this post) ? Well we met again after the night in Rome and this time she invited me to spend a day with her at the beach in Anzio, a small town near Rome. Lina took me at the lido where she and her family have been going for the last 20 years. It was a lovely day. The holiday season is almost over and so the beach was empty, just few locals from Anzio and some other people who intentionally had taken their vacation in September as they hate crowdy beaches. It was kinda strange to see no one playing cards for hours at the bar or the restaurant empty (except for us).. I found very inspiring this "emptyness" and I almost could imagine myself in a some kind of a horror - mystique movie, you are ready for something to happen the very next moment, all the time and in the end.. nothing happens, which makes it even more spookier! Just an empty bar.. on an empty beach... and you have no clue where all the people ended up. Ha... okay enough of my imagination, take a look at the pictures yourself.
