Just a little tease for all of us (HAPPY EASTER!)

Photobucket

Ciao Everyone!! Before I begin I want to wish you happy Easter with lots of yummie chocolate bunnies and delicious surprises!

I've been taking some time off (as you can see I took it quite seriously the message of my last post ;D ) and I gotta say it has been really relaxing. Everyone, it's Spring, finally! This time of the year can be quite harsh - the exhaustion and tiredness are the biggest enemies one could have after a lazy Winter. I've been trying to fight them by going out a lot in the fresh air and doing bunch of other relaxing and "mentally feeding" things (reading, cooking, wathcing movies, playing with my two year old sister (much more than usually), drawing and sketching, etc.). Could use another week like this but the every-day routine is desperatelly calling me back with my feet on the ground. I'm about to go and help my mother with the preparatives for tomorrow (we'll be baking a typical russian Easter feast cake- kulich, check it out in this russian culinary blog here!) but in the meanwhile I wanted to share with you this eye-candy, trust me- quite bitter and really sweet in the same time! I don't think Easter is a feast which people celebrate somewhere far away (like a vacation during the Christmas and New Year's Eve period) but still I think it's not a bad idea to welcome and anticipate Spring (or more likely Summer) on some paradise island. So take a look at this luxurious resort on the Maldives called Alila Villas (check out their site!). 50 private villas, some with private pools and some ending up directly above the turqois Maldivian waters.. mmaah.. is there any difference?

"While the focus of the Alila Villas Hadahaa is first about luxury and relaxation, the design of this resort is rooted in eco-conscious practices. The complex includes rainwater harvesting systems, waste treatment facilities and natural ventilation methods to keep cooling costs low. Guests of this stunning Maldives resort can not only rest in ultimate luxury, but can rest easy that the footprints they leave behind will be friendly to the local environment. Rates start at $945 a night."- The Coolist.

PRETTY NICE... isn't it? Too bad I couldn't afford to spend my week there.
I guess there's always the next time, right?

P.S. You always post the most amazing comments to my blog :) What cool memory from childhood! I think I've never really had this kind of situation with smells, but I did experience something like with sounds and sudden pictures in my mind, like a deja vu sort of thing. The soudns are the most amuzing - I would sometimes hear someone starting to say something and then all of a sudden it soudns so ridiculously familiar, as if I already heard this person say exactky the same thing in exactly the same place and a very similar situation... Most of the time I would know what they would say next and the most incredible part is when I start replying them I know what I'm going to say and somehow I can't change what I'm saying even if I try to say something else just for the heck of it... lol Do I sound crazy? :)

Anyways, Happy Easter Sunday to you :) Hope you finished your kulich baking sucessfully, I'm sure it;s going to be tasty!! Would love to see a picture of it if you dare to post some :) xo
